I’ve always had a deep love for photography, taking my first ‘real’ photos during an overseas trip when I was 13 years old. After getting back from that trip, I got a job so I could save up for my SLR camera – a Nikon kit camera. With this camera, I began the journey of learning the technical side of things (and learned that I will never know it all!)

I was blessed to have some paid photo jobs fall in my lap when I was 17, and I actually shot my first wedding while I was still in high school!

From there, I built my business out and switched over to shooting fully with Canon equipment. I was a professional wedding photographer for over 10 years and I am very proud of the portfolio I put together in that time.

These days, I work full time at Automattic, the brilliant people behind WordPress (which naturally is what powers this site!)

I now keep my ‘focus’ on personal shooting – mainly travel and family photography. This site is a fun way for me to continue growing my portfolio. I have simplified my shooting setup these days as well.
